A free customer support tool for startups: the Supora beta is open

Looking for a free customer support tool for startups? During our beta, Supora is free for 6 months. Your support email becomes threaded, categorised tickets, in exchange for honest product feedback. Here's what the beta is, what's free, and how to join.

If you run a startup and you’ve searched for a free customer support tool, you already know how the results go. Half of them are free tiers with a contact cap that runs out the week you start growing. The other half are open-source tools you can host yourself, free until you count the hours spent patching a server at 2am. We wrote a whole breakdown of the real cost of “free” for exactly this reason.

So here’s a different kind of free. We’re opening the Supora beta, and early adopters get the product free for 6 months. No credit card to start. The one thing we ask in return is that you tell us what’s working and what isn’t.

What Supora does

Supora turns your support email into a tidy inbox you can run. You connect a support address, we hand you a dedicated alias like acme@inbox.supora.io, and every message that comes in gets parsed, threaded into a conversation, and sorted by category. You read and reply from a clean operator inbox. Your customer just gets a normal email back, in the same thread.

That’s the whole job. There’s no chatbot builder, no social inbox, no automation studio to configure before you can answer your first email. For a solo founder or a team of three who answer support between everything else, that narrowness is the point.

What’s free, and for how long

Six months, on the house. Here’s the honest shape of it, because a free offer with fine print you discover later isn’t worth much.

For the first six months you have full access: receive mail, reply, categorise, the lot. No message cap, no countdown nagging you in the corner. About two weeks before the six months are up, you’ll see a small banner letting you know the free window is closing. If you decide to stay, Supora starts at $19 a month for up to three seats. Not per resolution, and flat until you outgrow three seats. One price you can forecast against your runway, whether you answer forty emails a week or four hundred. If you don’t want to continue, your inbox goes read-only and nothing gets deleted out from under you.

We picked a flat price on purpose. Per-resolution pricing makes the bill jump around right when you’re busiest, and metering every seat punishes you for adding a co-founder. One flat price covers your first three seats, with no surprises when you bring on a co-founder.

The one thing we ask: feedback

This is a beta, so we’re trading the six months for something specific. When you create your workspace there’s a checkbox: you agree to share product feedback during the beta. That’s the deal in one line. We want to know which parts of the threading feel off, what category got it wrong, the email you expected to land that didn’t.

Being straight with you: a beta has rough edges. You may hit a quirk we haven’t seen. Things will change as we learn. If you’d rather wait for a polished, settled product, that’s a reasonable call, and you can come back at launch. But if you’re the kind of founder who likes shaping a tool to fit how you work, this is the best window to do it.

Who the beta is for

It fits best if support, for you, means “people email us and we reply,” and you want that handled without standing up a help desk. Solo founders. Tiny teams. Anyone who’s currently running support out of a shared Gmail and feeling the seams. If you’ve never been sure what a shared inbox buys you over forwarding rules, this is a low-cost way to find out.

It’s the wrong fit if you need a public knowledge base or several agents working assignments today. The beta is a single operator seat, focused on doing support email and live chat well rather than a full help-desk suite. We’d rather tell you that now than have you discover it in week two.

How to join

Go to the Supora homepage and pick the Free plan. Choose your workspace name (it becomes your inbox alias, so pick something you’ll keep). Check the feedback box, connect your support email, and you’re in. Setup takes a few minutes, and you’re handling real tickets the same day.
